About DAZN

DAZN is the world's leading sports entertainment platform, delivering premium live and on-demand sports to millions of fans across more than 200 markets. As DAZN continues to expand its global advertising business, we are investing in data, insights, and measurement capabilities that help brands better understand, reach, and engage passionate sports audiences.
We are seeking an innovative Head of Strategic Planning, US, within our Advertising function. Reporting into the VP, Strategic Planning, working day to day with DAZN's North America commercial leadership

The Opportunity

DAZN holds exclusive broadcast rights across a growing portfolio of regional teams and is building the commercial infrastructure to monetize that audience at scale: rate cards, packaging, inventory forecasting and reporting that let a small commercial team sell with the credibility of a much larger one.

This role sits at the centre of that build. It owns the strategic planning engine behind DAZN's US Regional and local ad sales business, turning a fast-moving rights portfolio into sellable, forecastable, well-priced ad inventory, and giving a lean sales team the tools and data to compete from day one.

Salary Range: $170,000 - $200,000. This is hybrid role which will be based mostly on site from our New York office.

Department

RS-648 - Media - Ads Strategy

Employment Type

Permanent - Full Time

Location

US - New York

Workplace type

Hybrid

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own regional sales planning and inventory mix strategies, recommending adjustments based on team performance, rights changes, and pipeline opportunities.
  • Analyse sales performance to identify trends, optimise packaging, and recommend pricing improvements to maximise revenue.
  • Manage CPM-based rate cards and tiered advertising packages across regional sports teams, ensuring pricing remains competitive and commercially effective.
  • Develop inventory forecasting models that connect available ad inventory, audience insights, and sales opportunities.
  • Provide audience, demographic, and market insights to strengthen the value proposition of regional and local sports inventory.
  • Own CRM accuracy and reporting processes, ensuring sales activity supports effective forecasting, performance tracking, and decision-making.
  • Deliver KPI reporting, market benchmarking, and actionable recommendations to improve advertising performance.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, Tech, and Ad Ops teams to optimise ad products, packaging, and commercial opportunities.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years in advertising strategic planning, sales operations, inventory or yield management, or commercial analytics, ideally in sports media, streaming, or a rights-holder or Regional sport environment.
  • Working knowledge of the US sports rights and RSN landscape: NBA, NHL, and MLB broadcast structures, and Regional sport operators
  • A bias toward lean, high-leverage work. This function supports a small commercial team covering multiple markets and teams, so the tools and processes it builds need to scale without added headcount.
  • Able to work independently and set priorities in a fast-moving, still-forming commercial function.
  • Comfortable being the single point of ownership for pricing, inventory, and CRM in the US, with judgment on when to escalate versus decide.
  • Strong cross-functional operator who builds trust quickly with sales, product, data, ad ops, and finance.

Benefits

Benefits include access to DAZN, up to 15 days of paid time off, health benefits (including dental & eye care), a sick time package, parental leave offering, voluntary benefits (such as basic life term, personal accident and short and long-term disability covering) and a 401(k) retirement plan. You’ll also find a family friendly community and learning and development resources.
