The Role:

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, the Head of Group Reporting will lead the Group reporting function, overseeing the consolidation, reporting, and technical accounting activities across the Group and its subsidiaries. This role ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting under IFRS and local GAAP, while driving continuous improvement in financial controls, reporting systems, and governance frameworks. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

  • Oversee the Group multi-currency consolidation and professionalise the reporting process.
  • Manage the external audit process to ensure smooth delivery and meeting deadlines.
  • Lead the preparation and review of the Group IFRS financial statements and notes.
  • Review of subsidiary financial statements under local GAAPs as prepared by the reporting team.
  • Maintain the Group’s chart of accounts, consolidation adjustments, and reporting frameworks.


Technical Accounting & Governance

  • Act as the Group’s IFRS subject matter expert, providing guidance and input on complex transactions including acquisitions.
  • Preparation of technical accounting papers.
  • Strengthen the Group’s internal control environment, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.


Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of qualified accountants and develop a high-performing reporting team.
  • Work closely with the shared service finance team based in Katowice, Poland.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Tax and Legal teams, particularly on entity rationalisation.
  • Deputise for the Group Financial Controller where required.


Process Improvement & Systems

  • Drive process efficiency and automation across the reporting cycle, ensuring close timelines are met and whilst maintaining data accuracy.
  • Bring rigour and discipline to the month end process and lead balance sheet reviews.
  • Drive ERP and finance system transformation.


Ideal Profile

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA) with Big 4 or large practice background.
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in group reporting with experience of managing month end close, ideally with exposure to multi-currency consolidations.
  • Deep and up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a record of cross-functional collaboration and business partnering.
  • A balance of leadership capability and a hands-on mindset.
  • A technically sound finance leader with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and drive improvement.
