Red Bull is a globally recognized energy drink brand that has expanded its presence into various areas, including sports, music, and entertainment. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Communications to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing and protecting the Red Bull brand through effective communication strategies. The Head of Communications leads the editorial communications strategy for Red Bull through earned and owned media channels. They strategically plan the national communication approach and select the relevant topics, messages, content formats, channels, and distribution tactics to reach consumers in the TR. Working closely with the other departments in the Marketing team, they will manage a team of communication managers & specialists to create plans that amplify Red Bull’s activity in the fields of sport & culture, as well as support brand & product campaigns.

  • STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION PLANNING

    Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with Red Bull's overall business objectives.

    Drive the development of key messages and narratives to enhance brand positioning and awareness.

    Oversee the creation of compelling content across various platforms, including press releases, articles, and social media, to engage and inform the target audience.

    Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging issues that may impact Red Bull's reputation. Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence.

  • MEDIA RELATIONS AND GENERATING WORD OF MOUTH

    Build and maintain strong relationships with local, national, and international media outlets.

    Act as the primary spokesperson for Red Bull, handling media inquiries and interviews.

    Lead internal communication initiatives to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.

    Foster a culture of open communication and transparency within the organization.

    Collaborate with marketing and events teams to plan and execute communication strategies for Red Bull events and sponsorships.

    Ensure effective communication before, during, and after events.

  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND BRAND BUILDING

    Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential reputational risks.

    Act as the point of contact for crisis situations, providing timely and transparent communication.

    Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging issues.

    Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence to enhance communication strategies

    Lead and inspire the communication team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and events, to align communication strategies.

  • ATHLETE MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS

    Translate athlete marketing initiatives into relevant media products – always identify content and story opportunities in close collaboration with athlete marketing.

    Develop the athlete media strategy to unlock the potential of our athletes through 360 media plans which activate the athlete all year round cross functionally as well as Identify great story opportunities to the local media network facilitating the translation of marketing ideas into engaging media products.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage communication teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in overseeing the creation of compelling content across various platforms.
  • Experience in planning and executing communication strategies for events and sponsorships.
  • Proven ability to lead internal communication initiatives and foster a transparent organizational culture.
  • Strong awareness of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging issues.
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools and expertise in utilizing social media platforms effectively.
