Graphics Operator

The Best Players Need the Best People.

This position is responsible for the live execution of insert graphics for all productions at PGA TOUR STUDIOS. This includes pre-build, live graphic playback during golf productions and studio shows. Additionally, this position will create graphic content for post-production features, sales mocks and social media.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree or related technical education required.

• Minimum 3 years broadcast television or related experience at the regional to large market or network level.

• Experience with broadcast graphics systems, font creation and production experience.

• Proficient in operating the Ross Xpression and Chyron Lyric graphic systems.

• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, & After Effects and show proficiency in prepping artwork for graphic implementation is preferred.

• Experience with scoring system interfaces is preferred.

• Sports production background preferred, experience with the game of golf a plus

• Excellent typing and spelling skills required.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Understanding of video production as it pertains to font creation and implementation.

• Schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays with weekly schedule primarily Wednesday – Sunday

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Perform all graphics operator duties for live programming as assigned.

• Responsible for proficient operation of graphics system and all associated technical equipment.

• Responsible for graphic pre-builds and re-loads and ongoing consultation with the production staff as needed concerning the creation of graphic elements for various projects.

• Communicate all technical equipment problems immediately to Engineering through the maintenance reports and assist Engineering in location and identifying equipment problems as needed.

• Special projects or other duties as assigned.
