Purpose of Role

The Wear Test Analyst II supports the product and wear test process for their categories from start to finish.  This includes involvement in multiple end-uses and overlapping calendars, in addition to multiple seasons, at any given time.  This role requires the high-level coordination of many complex and cross functional activities, including selection of styles to test, tracking of timeline for approval and delivery, building test plans and surveys, analysis of results, reporting, and ultimately troubleshooting issues and taking action and/or elevation of risk.  This role supports all testing protocols related to their categories.  This individual will develop extensive wear testing and/or Product Development knowledge to craft appropriate tests and surveys for testers and create best-in-class feedback, reporting and presentations to give actionable information.   

Your Impact

  • Seasonal Style Level Wear Testing Process – style selection, test plans, survey creation, sample distribution & tests execution 
  • Reports and Product Engineering - analysis of results, troubleshooting and action suggestions, collaboration with lab, presentation creation
  • Support & execute large scale Product Insight Studies- Providing high level Insights back to the Organization to affect key re-invents and large-scale product decisions
  • Create & maintain POD and Cross Functional interactions (lab, other testing divisions) and presentations
  • Ensures final close-out actions or elevation of any issues found during wear testing, prior to commercialization
  • Understands and communicates special calendar needs for their categories and is able to create a risk mitigation plan on key styles if there are delays
  • Supports relationship with Quality partners to translate voice of consumer data into pro-active comparison wear tests in your product category.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with typically 2 years of related experience or Masters degree without experience or typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree.
  • Previous experience in wear testing, technical design, sports management. A background in product development, athletic industry and/or Technical Design expertise. 
  • Experience measuring samples and participating in fit sessions to learn process and terminology preferred
  • Knowledge of garment or accessories construction
  • Experience recruiting and communicating with testers/public along with obtaining clear, precise product feedback.
  • Experience working with NCAA level athletes, coaches, and equipment managers preferred.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MDoffice.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week. 
  • Travel: 10%

Base Compensation

 $72,269.12 - $99,370.04 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
