Role Purpose  

At FanDuel, we are seeking a Risk Executive who thrives in dynamic environments and values clear thinking and precision under pressure. This role suits someone who is curious, eager to grow, and motivated to contribute to team goals. 

The successful candidate will take on diverse operational responsibilities, enhancing the sports betting experience for our Sportsbook customers. 

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in Risk Management and gain insights into the dynamic and engaging field of live trading.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities  

  • Over time, contribute to developing and tracking performance metrics that highlight the value of Risk Operations work. 

  • Review customer betting activity in real-time, assess overall patterns, and adjust market limits as needed. 

  • Manage liability, respond to real-time alerts, and monitor key operational adjustments. 

  • Support Customer Risk Management by identifying trends and refining approaches to segmentation. 

  • Prepare and maintain reports on team and individual contributions to risk management goals. 

  • Collaborate with team leaders and partners to share insights and optimize processes. 

  • Play an important role in enhancing Price Assurance strategies to achieve team objectives. 

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and partners across locations. 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience  

  • A 3rd level qualification in maths, statistics, business or a relevant degree. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy. 

  • Basic knowledge of mathematics or statistics is necessary. 

  • A commitment to learning, growing, and embodying FanDuel’s core values. 

  • Familiarity with sports, especially US sports, is a plus but not required. 

  • A willingness to develop skills through our four-week training program. 

  • Good communication skills are crucial, as an important part of the role is being able to communicate clearly both within the team and to external stakeholders.  

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a team-oriented environment where each day presents new opportunities. 

  • Problem-solving skills that draw on creativity and collaboration, including using technology and teamwork to improve processes. 

  • Attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively. 

  • A thoughtful and data-driven approach to achieving meaningful solutions.

  • Effectively contribute to revenue growth and minimize losses through thoughtful risk management strategies.
