Role Overview

This is a high-ownership, customer-facing role responsible for personally acquiring, onboarding, and growing high-priority customers on Fanatics Markets.

You will act as both the first point of contact and the long-term relationship owner for your customers. This role blends outbound acquisition, white-glove onboarding, and ongoing relationship management. You are the human face of Fanatics Markets for a portfolio of our most valuable users.

This is not a desk-only role. Success requires hustle, persistence, excellent communication, and comfort with high-volume 1:1 outreach - primarily via text and messaging - especially around live events.

Responsibilities

Customer Acquisition & Growth

  • Proactively source and acquire high-priority customers through direct outreach to known leads, referrals, and targeted campaigns
  • Comfortable with persistent, high-frequency outreach and being evaluated on results, not activity
  • Engage in high-volume outbound communication (text, phone, messaging platforms) on a daily basis
  • Build trust quickly and convert interested prospects into active, engaged customers

Onboarding & Customer Advocacy

  • Personally onboard new customers, ensuring they understand how Fanatics Markets works and how to get value from the platform
  • Educate customers on market mechanics, event opportunities, and platform features
  • Act as a dedicated resource for your customer portfolio, maintaining frequent, personalized communication - liaising with operations teams across payments, customer support, and other functions

Engagement & Retention

  • Drive ongoing engagement and handle by reaching out at the right moments - before, during, and after major events
  • Reactivate dormant customers and deepen relationships with existing highest-priority users
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively solve problems to deliver a premium experience

Representation & Feedback

  • Represent Fanatics Markets professionally in customer conversations, events, and industry interactions
  • Serve as a feedback loop between customers and internal teams, sharing insights on product gaps, friction points, and opportunities

Required

  • 4 plus years of experience in sales, customer acquisition, hospitality, relationship management, or customer success roles with direct performance accountability
  • Proven ability to build relationships quickly and influence customer behavior through direct communication
  • Comfort with high-volume outbound outreach and frequent customer interaction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in informal, 1:1 settings
  • Highly organized, reliable, and accountable - you follow through
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments with minimal structure
