The Nike Explore Team's (NXT) Footwear Future Capabilities group invents and develops scalable, digitally driven methods-of-make that enable product innovation, simplify manufacturing, and reduce carbon through robust engineering and product integration.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be working within our Innovation spaces, including a world-class R&D facility with a dedicated machine shop, additive lab, maintenance team, sampling areas, and product creation teams. This role will collaborate directly with multiple teams of highly skilled Engineers, Innovators, researchers, and leaders throughout Advanced Innovation. Most of your time will be working directly with Nike partners to accelerate innovation ideas into reality.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Nike Explore Team (NXT) Future Capabilities is looking for an initiative-taking and qualified individual to join the Advanced Product Creation Center (APCC)-Facilities team in the role of Facility Engineer II, reporting to the Senior Manager, APCC Operations. The candidate should have a working knowledge building operations and a basic understanding of mechanical systems, A high degree of problem-solving skills with the ability to be flexible in an ambiguous environment. Work both independently and in a collaborative work environment and be curious and open to learning to skills.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • Experience operating Powered Motorized Vehicles.
  • Have a strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Ability to use measurement equipment, tape measures, basic hand tools, pallet jacks, dollies.
  • Experience creating CAD layouts a plus.
  • Be a creative and active problem solver.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite and project management software.
  • Strong proven communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with short project deadlines.
  • Ability to lift tools, parts, and various equipment (up to 50lb) is required

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Facility Engineer, you will collaborate with Leaders, Engineers, Innovators, and other stakeholders to deliver on-time results for building related repairs, modifications, equipment moves, and improvements. You will also handle coordinating building-related material handling, space changes, 5S events, be a liaison for shipping & receiving. Expectations to deliver solutions quickly ensure a fast-paced and challenging work environment. Success depends on ability to be a self-starter and work well in an environment of ambiguity.
