Full Description
The Event & Gaming Communications Manager leads the planning and execution of earned media and public relations strategies for Red Bull’s sports & gaming events, tournaments, esports teams and players. With a strong focus on Sports Communications, this role ensures our brand, events, and talents receive compelling media visibility across earned and editorial channels, while also overseeing Red Bull’s gaming communications in alignment with the Creator Marketing and Gaming teams.

LEAD COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY
Lead the earned media strategy and execution for Red Bull sports events, creating visibility through impactful PR campaigns, editorial storytelling, and media relations.
MEDIA RELATIONS
Serve as the key comms partner for the Sports Marketing team—identifying story opportunities, producing media content (e.g., news cuts, recap visuals, photo sets), and building strong journalist relationships.
MANAGING GAMING COMMS ECOSYSTEM
Act as the communications lead for gaming PR initiatives, managing the positioning of Red Bull players and teams within esports media and coordinating with Creator Marketing to ensure consistency and alignment across audience touchpoints.
LEVERAGE MEDIA PLATFORMS
Brief and guide PR agencies to deliver on earned visibility targets, ensuring excellence in execution and consistency in messaging across all platforms (TV, social, web, print).
LEAD CROSS CHANNEL SYNERGY
Collaborate with the local Media Network team to ensure all Sports and Gaming-related earned content is optimized for cross-channel storytelling.
REPORTING
Track and report EMO KPIs, media coverage, and PR impact for both sports and gaming domains, proposing adjustments to improve outcomes.
EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
- 5–8 years of experience in communication preferably with experience in both sports and gaming projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; positive and collaborative team player.
- Agile, solution-oriented, and capable of navigating fast-paced environments.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Passion for sports and basic familiarity with gaming culture and creator ecosystems.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Comfortable leading field operations and being hands-on during major events.
- Travel 20-30%
