Full Description

Hey! We're Huel, and we're pleased to meet you

Our culture thrives on high performance, and we set the bar high for new Hueligans who join us.

The role

Our Milton Keynes manufacturing facility is just one year old, built with the latest technology and designed for growth. We’re looking for an Engineering Technician (Electrical Bias) who’s ready to make their mark.

You’ll take the lead on electrical fault finding, repairs, and optimisation, while supporting on mechanical maintenance when needed. Working alongside our Automation and Production teams, you’ll help keep our state-of-the-art lines running at peak performance, minimise downtime, and introduce new technologies that drive efficiency.

This is more than maintenance.. it’s a chance to shape how our factory operates as we continue to grow. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be involved in:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues to identify and repair faulty components, keeping traceability records around work performed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures and apply quick and effective solutions.
  • Implement preventive measures to avoid recurring problems and minimise future downtime, collaborating with automation partners where appropriate.
  • Support during factory acceptance (FAT) site acceptance tests with some travel to Europe potentially required, (SATs) and installation activities during site setup.
  • Provide training and support to operators and other staff on equipment operation and maintenance.

You’ll be based on our new site in Milton Keynes working in our new Manufacturing Engineering team! There will be 2 shift patterns 6am - 2.30pm and 1.30pm - 10pm. You'll alternate these shifts week by week.

What we're looking for in you

We’re looking for a candidate with a hands-on engineering background and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience with a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Maintenance or Electrical Engineering is essential, such as a BTEC in Electrical Engineering or City & Guilds certification.

  • Proven experience of maintaining and optimising automated manufacturing equipment within a factory environment, from installation and commissioning, through to running and performance improvements.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, using initiative to solve breakdowns and optimise equipment.
  • Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) platform and preferably knowledge of maintenance requirements within regulated environments operating to recognised food safety or pharmaceutical standards (ie BRC)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across Production, Engineering and Operations teams.

And as always, we’re on the lookout for new Hueligans who love a fast-paced environment and are always striving to be their best. We want people who aren’t afraid to think differently and push boundaries. If you’re all about setting big goals and believe that amazing things happen through creativity and teamwork, you’ll fit right in at Huel!
