Job Description

Entain is hiring an Engineering Manager to join our wider global Product and Technology team.

We are looking for techno managerial candidates whose prime passion is delivery. The Engineering Manager assumes individual accountability for end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-team projects. They serve as the technical custodians of significant components within the systems, infrastructure, and design decisions.

Additionally, they take charge of and ensure the planning and punctual completion of work within their respective teams

What you will do 

• Leading large delivery organization spanning several agile/scrum teams
• Own the tracking and reporting of delivery and execution metrics to drive predictable and efficient outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product and Development teams to provide technical context for feature specification, planning, and prioritization
• Break down complex projects into actionable tasks and lead the development of detailed execution plans.
• Participate in hiring processes, mentor engineers, and guide their career growth and performance.
• Lead system design reviews and take accountability for architectural decisions within your team.
• Address risks such as technical debt, downtime, and security issues in partnership with stakeholders.
• Promote Agile and XP software development practices tailored to project requirements.
• Share knowledge across teams, fostering collaboration through workshops, advisory sessions, and cross-pod initiatives.
• Balance scope, speed, and quality through thoughtful negotiation and alignment with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• You have an extensive track record of managing large scale delivery projects at enterprise level
• A “never-say-never” attitude and outlook towards all challenges
• Technical Expert: You have deep expertise in developing distributed, high performance applications and a track record of delivering impactful solutions.
• Collaborative Leader: You excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly with Product and Development counterparts.
• Mentor and Coach: You enjoy mentoring engineers at various levels and fostering their professional growth.
• Design Advocate: You're passionate about system design and take ownership of design decisions within your team.
• Strong Communicator: You can clearly articulate trade-offs and keep teams aligned on scope, speed, and quality.
• Experience in a sport betting brand is a plus
