Full Description
We are seeking a highly capable Engineer III to join our Enterprise Systems team, with a primary focus on Okta administration and managing the portfolio of SaaS platforms. In this role, you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining secure, scalable identity and access management solutions, as well as supporting the lifecycle and integration of key SaaS applications. This is a hands-on, technical role requiring strong collaboration, problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of modern enterprise IT systems.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Administer and enhance Okta, including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, and SCIM provisioning.
- Implement secure, scalable integrations between Okta and core SaaS applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian).
- Develop and maintain automated workflows using Okta Workflows, APIs, and identity orchestration tools to support onboarding, offboarding, and access governance.
- Contribute to enterprise IAM strategy, including support for zero trust architecture and RBAC policies.
- Evaluate new SaaS tools, lead technical onboarding efforts, and ensure proper security, compliance, and access controls.
- Collaborate with InfoSec, HRIS, and other business partners to ensure identity platforms meet organizational requirements.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting incidents, with collaborating on COE’s. Serving as an escalation point for complex platform problems.
- Document system configurations, standards, and procedures; support audit and compliance initiatives as needed.
- Contribute to enterprise systems roadmaps, tool selection, and continuous improvement effort.
- Ability to write solid documentation on the work you have completed or contributing to articles where you see process improvement.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
What skills are important to us:
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT or systems engineering, with at least 2 years hands-on experience with Okta administration.
- Strong knowledge of SSO protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth) and IAM best practices.
- Experience integrating and managing SaaS platforms in an Enterprise environment.
- Proficiency with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Postman, Okta Workflows).
- Experience working with APIs for system integration and automation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills; ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working in an Agile, sprint-based environment, utilizing Jira for task management, sprint planning, and progress tracking.
Preferred:
- Okta certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator).
- Experience with identity governance tools or platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Saviynt).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and have experience with participating in Agile rituals and ceremonies.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and processes.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
