Electrician
Location: Old Trafford Stadium

The Purpose:

To support and carry out a wide range of internal and external electrical work across the stadium and associated facilities, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard, in compliance with relevant regulations, and in a timely, safe, and professional manner. 

The Role:
 
Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform routine electrical maintenance and repair tasks on all electrical systems, equipment, and installations across the site. 
  • Carry out minor electrical installations and upgrades as required. 
  • Provide hands-on assistance with matchday preparations and other stadium events, ensuring all electrical systems are safe and operational. 
  • Support and collaborate with other trades and departments as needed to ensure smooth stadium operations. 
  • Participate in on-the-job and external training programs to enhance knowledge, skills, and compliance with industry standards. 
  • Adhere strictly to the company’s procedures regarding security, loss prevention, and keyholder responsibilities. 
  • Maintain full compliance with company policies including Health & Safety, Environmental Regulations, Equal Opportunities, and Anti-Harassment protocols. 
  • Complete all tasks with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. 

The Person:  
 
Skills & Experience: 

  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance and installation 
  • Understanding of current electrical safety standards and regulations 
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the demands of live events and matchdays 
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach 

Qualifications: 

  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (2357) or equivalent 
  • Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) 
  • IET Wiring Regulations – 18th Edition (BS 7671) 

Desirable (but not essential): 

  • Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671 
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 – Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations 
  • **PAT
