WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Specialist reports to the Japan EKIN Manager and partners closely with the EKIN and Marketing teams to prioritize seasonal opportunities. They collaborate across Account Training & Delivery, Marketplace, and Retail Operations, while managing external vendors. The role also works with Legal and Communications to ensure alignment and compliance across all initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a storyteller, historian, and educator who brings insight, connection, and energy to athletes, partners, and communities. They inspire through knowledge, lead with curiosity, and elevate the athlete experience through thoughtful insights. They embrace Nike’s mission with authenticity, using creativity and strategic thinking to shape learning, coaching, and engagement. With a passion for sport and culture, they bridge products and people—ensuring every athlete can unlock their potential.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, sales, customer service, mentoring, or instruction.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.

  • Proven ability to connect and inspire people, lead engaging meetings, and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Demonstrated capability to foster a culture of continuous learning, applying consumer insights to strategy, planning, and content development.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will serve as Nike’s product authority, transforming innovations and brand stories into meaningful, immersive experiences. You’ll inspire retail teams and athletes through education, storytelling, and tools that strengthen product knowledge and fuel connection.

  • Develop locally relevant seasonal plans aligned with city or geo marketing teams.

  • Create experiential training sessions across multiple formats—including video, virtual, and in-person—that energize Retail Associates.

  • Visit retail stores at least once a week to stay connected to the marketplace and athlete experience.

  • Share insights with marketing teams on consumers, products, competition, and emerging trends.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure training content reflects Nike’s brand voice and athlete-first philosophy.

  • Support execution of training events with external vendors and internal stakeholders.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve training effectiveness through feedback and data.
