FIFA World Cup 26 Skills Framework

The Dressing & Signage role is a key operational position within the FIFA World Cup 26™ Dressing & Signage team. This unified evergreen role represents the responsibilities of Dressing & Signage Venue Managers and is responsible for delivering world-class branding, dressing, and wayfinding signage across stadiums and additional non-stadium venues. The main responsibilities include:

On-Site Dressing & Signage Delivery

  • Oversee and execute full dressing and signage implementation at assigned stadiums and sites.
  • Travel to off-site, non-stadium venues to supervise installations as required.
  • Serve as the primary on-venue contact for all Dressing & Signage activities and Functional Area requests.
  • Ensure all installations meet FIFA’s branding, operational, and quality standards.

Supplier & Venue Coordination

  • Manage supplier scheduling, workloads, and daily assignments.
  • Maintain close alignment with the Dressing & Signage Senior Manager, HQ team, and TOC staff.
  • Liaise with stadium operators, site owners, and venue managers to secure approvals for installation plans.
  • Monitor venue readiness and coordinate with FAs requesting additional signage.

Daily Reporting & Project Communication

  • Attend daily coordination meetings with venue staff.
  • Submit daily progress reports, updates, and issue logs to the Dressing & Signage management team.
  • Maintain real-time communication with cluster managers and HQ team regarding progress, risks, and changes.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Conduct continuous quality checks on all installations performed by suppliers.
  • Identify, document, and escalate any issues related to installation quality, placement, or compliance.
  • Ensure installations are completed on schedule and meet the agreed specifications and standards.

Wayfinding & Operational Signage

  • Oversee venue wayfinding installations ensuring logical guest flow, operational efficiency, and clear navigation for all user groups.
  • Distribute signage to Functional Areas and provide on-site guidance for installation when necessary.

Change-Control & Late Requests

  • Input late or additional signage requests into the change-control system.
  • Action approved requests and manage supplier adjustments accordingly.

Matchday & Tournament-Time Operations

  • Maintain on-site presence during installation days, matchdays, decommission days, and other required periods.
  • Support operational troubleshooting during matches, ensuring signage functionality and quick response to last-minute needs.
  • Ensure operational dressing and signage align with the matchday plan and stadium operations.

Project Management & Knowledge Capture

  • Contribute to project management initiatives, debriefs, documentation, and knowledge-sharing efforts.
  • Support continuous improvement through insights from operations, installation outcomes, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Assist in capturing best practices and process documentation for future tournaments.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Operations, Project Management, Design, Production, Sports Management, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent operational experience in venue dressing, signage, branding, or large-scale event implementation may be accepted.


Work Experience

  • Experience working in large-scale sporting events, festivals, major events, or venue branding/production environments.
  • Strong background in on-site operations, installation oversight, or supplier coordination.
  • Experience delivering high-volume branding or signage programs preferred.
  • Ability to manage complex site-based workloads and work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with quality control, field troubleshooting, and operational decision-making.


Language

  • Fluent in English (required)
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a strong plus
  • Additional languages beneficial depending on venue location and supplier partnerships.


Technology

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with project management tools, installation tracking platforms, or reporting dashboards.
  • Ability to manage digital documentation, installation plans, and operational reporting tools.
