We believe that performance is at the core of every Athlete’s journey, and we aim to deliver a world-class experience that enhances how athletes train, compete, and recover.  As the Director, Global Moments in Sports Marketing, you will play a critical role in developing, scaling, and optimizing how we show up for our most important athletes, federations, and key partners in the biggest moments. You will build the strategy, navigate the matrix to leverage internal key stakeholders, and deliver best-in-class “Nike only” experiences, across various sports, at moments around the world. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 12-15 years industry experience, with 10+ years proven people management experience
  • 15+ years event management experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • Established relationships across the Nike matrix and event/vendor landscape are highly preferred
  • Excellent portfolio of accomplishments for leading complex & highly visible projects and delivering results at scale
  • High level of understanding how to work alongside and manage high-profile relationships
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to present and communicate to senior leaders
  • Innate ability to communicate and work across all geos, languages, and cultures while welcoming diversity of thought
  • Proven track record of managing against a budget, creating tracking tools, and providing leadership updates on status
  • Project development process knowledge (mainly Keynote, Excel, and Air Table)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clear, concise written messages through memos, emails and reporting tools
  • Proven ability to prioritize workloads, adapt to product calendars, and engage diverse teams to drive towards a common goal

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role, you will sit on the Sport, Athlete & Cultural Moments leadership team.  You will drive efficiency at scale, implement broad-based tech, event, and production processes to enable a high volume of output with pristine attention to detail.  You will bring an extremely tenured background in events and sport to the table, informing how we innovate and inspire for the near and longer-termed future.  Your background & expertise will enable us move faster, work smarter, and truly harness the very best of Nike…all in service of the athlete at the center.

  • Play a pivotal role on the Global Moments leadership team
  • Drive a prioritized, consistent approach to Moments for Football, Baseball, Global Football, Running, Basketball & cultural moments around the world
  • Lead process excellence through: intake, vendor selection, execution, tear-down, applied learnings, etc
  • Partner upstream with Global Procurement on all vendor selections, approach, and deliverables
  • Work with key external partners to drive technology and data insights, leading to speed and efficiency
  • Partner with Global Finance to ensure budget, cross charges, and fiscal year mapping are optimized
  • Constantly assess our external partner portfolio, looking for new & innovative ways to push the boundaries of athlete service
  • Manage experienced team of four individuals
