Your mission
PUMA is seeking a commercially driven Director South Retail Europe to lead and expand its Full Price (FPS) and Factory Outlet (FOC) store network across the region.
This senior leadership position carries full P&L responsibility for Southern Europe retail operations, driving sustainable sales growth, profitability, and brand excellence. The role mainly includes:
Sales and Profitability: Maximize sales, margin, and profit while maintaining brand image.
Business Opportunities: Identify and leverage opportunities to achieve financial goals through productivity, quality enhancements, and cost control.
Market Analysis: Analyze customer profiles, buying trends, local market trends, and competition to drive business. Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising teams to innovate and respond to business trends.
Customer Experience: Ensure high standards of customer experience in line with PUMA’s core values and service standards.
Operational Excellence: Achieve operational metrics and consistently follow standard operating and customer service procedures.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and growth strategies, including marketing and merchandising opportunities.
Data Transparency and Analytics: Ensure transparency and communication of key data for effective decision-making.
Team Leadership: Build and drive high-performance, accountable, and service-oriented teams. Develop and implement succession planning through effective hiring, development, and retention.
Responsible for all aspects of the performance management and professional development of the team, including recruitment, development plans, providing constructive feedback, appraisals and exit processes.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture by actively engaging team members, promoting open communication, and implementing initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
Compliance with and implementation of legal and operational requirements regarding occupational health and safety within your own area of responsibility.
Your talent
10+ years senior retail leadership experience, ideally in international / multi-country environments, preferably within global sports, fashion, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands with complex retail networks and high operational standards
Proven P&L ownership with strong sales and margin delivery
Experience managing both Full Price and Outlet formats
Strong financial and analytical acumen
Experienced people leader with succession planning capability
Fluent in English; additional Southern European languages advantageous
Willingness to travel extensively
