WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH:
You will join NIKE’s Finance & Procurement Technology team, partnering closely with leaders across Corporate Functions. Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance & Procurement Technology, you will lead a team of managers, engineers, and specialists to deliver scalable solutions that enable financial planning, core platforms and procurement operations at a global scale.
We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead teams responsible for both off-the-shelf and custom-built applications supporting Finance and Procurement functions. This leader will play a critical role in modernizing Nike’s technology landscape by delivering scalable, high-performance solutions that drive business value.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We seek a strategic technology leader who combines Finance and Procurement domain expertise with a proven ability to drive transformation at enterprise scale. This role requires exceptional capability in leading complex technology initiatives, building high-performing teams, and influencing across organizational boundaries. The ideal candidate brings both technical depth and strategic acumen to shape multi-year technology roadmaps that deliver measurable business impact, and is equally effective engaging with technical architects on AI-enabled platforms as well as articulating value to business stakeholders.
This role requires close partnership with business stakeholders, technology leaders, architects, engineers, and product managers to align priorities, shape roadmaps, and ensure successful execution. The Director will lead across boundaries—balancing strategic direction with operational excellence—to deliver results in a fast-paced, complex environment.
We are looking for a seasoned technology leader with deep engineering expertise and a strong track record of delivering enterprise-scale Finance & Procurement solutions.
Key Qualification:
- 15+ years of experience leading high-performing software engineering teams
- 5+ years in a leadership role guiding multiple engineering squads with clear strategicdirection
- 5+ years of experience in Finance & Procurement technology domains
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into measurable outcomes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
- Proven track record of driving innovation, improving delivery, and leading organizational change
- Experience operating in large, complex environments and/or scaled Agile frameworks
- Preferred experience with platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, Concur, OutSystems, and AWS-based solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will lead the design, delivery, and operation of scalable Finance & Procurement technology solutions, enabling business transformation through modern platforms and engineering excellence.
Your responsibility include:
- Manage teams building and supporting platforms across Anaplan, Coupa, SAP S/4HANA, AWS, and OutSystems
- Drive end-to-end delivery of solutions for delivery and operations
- Partner with business and technology leaders to define roadmaps and deliver measurable business value
- Modernize systems through cloud-first architectures, integration patterns, and AI-enabled capabilities
- Build and develop high-performing teams while ensuring execution across complex, cross-functional programs.
