Your mission

  • Be the driver for the Creative Approach towards Training apparel, footwear, and Hyrox

  • Manage, support, motivate, coordinate, and develop a world class team and stimulate creativity and ownership to constantly aim for industry leadership

  • Compose a strategic plan and vision, in view of creation and execution for product designs mid- to long term aimed at continuous design innovation and achieving set goals within business target

  • Ensure the brand’s DNA is reflected and strengthened in all applicable business segments to deliver a clear customer and consumer proposition and positioning

  • Reinforce and strengthen the brand position and help to generate consumer demand

  • Identify opportunities for design support in order to improve business processes enhance customer/consumer intimacy

  • Ensure that design activities leverage learning across the PUMA organization

  • Work as a partner with Product Line Management to develop unique and relevant product stories and collection plans

  • Develop a team approach to create unique and market relevant Apparel & Footwear Designs that address consumer, retailer, and company goals on a seasonal timeline

  • Provide market research and design trend analysis supporting theme and design directions

  • Lead in creation and execution of innovative product designs

  • Take over responsibility for assigned projects and deliver results in line with PUMA's development calendar

  • Drive a close cooperation with designers from other product area (Footwear & Accessories) to ensure strong and aligned 360 design concepts

  • Present concepts/sketches/designs to the BU and management

  • Presentation of designs and collections to international partners and key accounts on senior management level.

Your talent

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel, Footwear, Industrial, Fashion Design and/or relevant field of study

  • Minimum 10 years international apparel product management experience with top tier international sports company, with 3+ years management experience required

  • Credible knowledge of sportswear/fashion consumer trends and Apparel and Footwear market/retail dynamics in different markets

  • General knowledge of international retail environment

  • Awareness of agile working methods to foster collaboration with key stakeholders in design/development to capture fast lead times

  • Strong leadership skills, high initiative, high energy, passionate, decisive, eye for detail, and confident

  • Business orientated

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to frame and defend an alternative position

  • Ability to convincingly present category knowledge using PowerPoint and spreadsheets

  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel required, including regular travel to PUMA’s HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany
