WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be part of the broader Partners team, reporting to the Senior Marketplace Sales Director. The Sales Account Director collaborates closely with cross-functional teams within the Sports business in the territory and the Asia Pacific LatAm Geography (APLA), including external partners (retailers, collaborators, etc.) and internal teams (Merchandising, Marketplace, Brand Marketing, Brand counterparts, Operations, DSM/Planning, Finance, and more).

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Director, Department Stores (Sales Account Director) to join our team. The ideal candidate will drive the Department Stores (ex: Liverpool) strategy, collaborating with retailers, cross functional teams and enterprise leaders. We value strategic thinkers who can analyze wholesale and retail business results, deliver impactful presentations, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for an experienced leader who is results-oriented and embraces change.

  • 7–9 years of relevant business experience, including field sales, retail buying, merchandising, sales business planning, or sales analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong experience in retail or sales, or field support experience at Nike preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Preferably with prior experience managing key accounts such as Liverpool
  • Team management skills
  • Ability to prepare, plan, and deliver clear, persuasive presentations
  • Understanding of the competitive market, customer needs, and retail trends
  • Proficiency in using financial data to inform decisions and maximize account profitability
  • Ability to develop seasonal assortments, forecasts, and scenario plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Passion for sports would be appreciated

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As Director, Department Stores, you will define and execute partner strategies in the marketplace, lead your team toward shared objectives, and foster consistent growth. Responsibilities include managing account relationships, overseeing go-to-market planning, defining long term partner strategy and proactively developing sales plans to drive key KPIs.

You will be accountable for both sell-in and sell-through processes, as well as comprehensive account management across cross-functional teams. Expertise in your assigned territory and the ability to facilitate market visits to key destinations are essential. You will shape the long-term vision and account strategy, aiming for sustainable growth and differentiation from competitors. This role requires leading the strategy through a sports-focused lens, aligned with Nike’s sport offense, and developing mid- to long-term plans with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will lead the Department Stores/Liverpool sales team, support shared objectives, coach for career development, and foster open, diverse dialogue and ideas.
