The EA SPORTS Security team safeguards the integrity of our global sports franchises by designing and operating central security services that ensure our games are fun, fair, and secure. We work across titles like FC, Madden, College Football, NHL, UFC, and more
As a Development Director on the EA SPORTS Security team, you’ll be at the nexus of people, process, and technology, delivering high-impact security initiatives while leading a team of technical specialists. Partnering closely with Product and Tech Leads, you’ll drive planning and execution across a portfolio of security projects. You’ll also collaborate with other Development Directors across SPORTS to elevate our operational maturity and unify our defense against game security threats
Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Lead the planning and delivery of cross-functional security projects that protect EA SPORTS titles and players
- Partner with Product and Tech Leads to balance quality, scope, and capacity while aligning priorities with broader security objectives.
- Communicate progress, risks, mitigations, and achievements with transparency to multiple levels of leadership.
- Build and sustain a high-performing, inclusive environment where people feel empowered and supported.
- Coach and develop a team of direct reports, investing in performance, growth, and career progression.
- Optimize operations by identifying opportunities for automation, AI augmentation, and process improvement
- Collaborate across disciplines and geographies.
Experiences and Capabilities:
- A strategic project leader with 4+ years of project or program management experience in a complex technical environment.
- A people-centred manager (2+ years of leadership experience preferred but not essential) who values psychological safety, empathy, and accountability.
- Experienced with project management tools such as JIRA and comfortable adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced operations setting.
- Familiar with video game development or cybersecurity concepts (a plus, not a prerequisite).
- An excellent communicator and stakeholder manager.
- Highly organized with a bias for action and continuous improvement
- Curious and innovative, leveraging AI and emerging tools to enhance delivery and decision-making.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$119,600 - $167,300 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
