The FC Career Mode team is searching for a Development Director (DD) to build and manage effective cross-discipline teams. To be effective in this role, you will partner with Producers to ensure that project delivery is managed on time, to quality, and within budget. As a DD, you will be the keeper of the project schedule and play an important role in successfully moving the Development team from one project phase to the next, with a focus on quality, collaboration, and communication. You are right for this role if you enjoy problem solving in a cross-functional, collaborative, and fast paced environment. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve effective teams; identify resourcing needs, participate in the hiring process to ensure candidates meet project requirements, and provide challenges and development opportunities to ensure that all employees reach their potential. 
  • Establish and maintain an overall project plan by creating and maintaining resource capacity planning for the project, proactively mitigating production risks, and effectively managing internal and external dependencies.  
  • As a People Manager, directly manage the professional development plans and performance of direct reports by following established EA standards and processes. Emphasize career planning and learning at the team level. 
  • Reach “win-win” solutions in line with the project goals; achieve consensus within diverse group of stakeholders. 
  • Participate in risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning against project priorities. Escalate risks appropriately and effectively. 
  • Drive effective processes within the team, ensuring workflows are well defined and understood by the whole team. Seek out and define opportunities for process improvements and innovation. 
  • Identify and lead collaborative efforts across the organization, working with key stakeholders to affect change. 
  • Effectively communicate team’s progress and status upward

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management Experience with production lifecycles, processes and project planning in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • 3+ years of People Management experience
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects using established methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Experience leading teams through complex or undefined problems, aligning partners, and delivering practical solutions.
  • Experience with project scheduling, capacity planning, and risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience using Jira or similar work management tools (preferred)
