Full Description
What will you be doing?
- Design, build, and maintain robust and efficient data pipelines that collect, process, and store data from various sources, including retail point-of-sale systems, user interactions and external partner data feeds.
- Develop and enhance data models that enable the efficient analysis and manipulation of data for merchandising optimization.
- Improve code and data quality by leveraging and contributing to internal tools to automatically detect and mitigate issues
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of strong results.
What are we looking for?
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience with a BS/Master's degree.
- Experience with distributed processing technologies and frameworks, such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and distributed storage systems (e.g., HDFS, S3)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets to identify gaps and inconsistencies, provide data insights, and advance effective product solutions
- Expertise with ETL schedulers such as Apache Airflow, Stonebranch or similar frameworks
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and columnar databases (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, HBase)
- Strong programming language proficiency using Scala, Java or other backend
- Familiarity of BI reporting tool such as Tableau, MicroStrategy or Cognos
Bonus Points
- Experience in e-commerce/retail domain
- Knowledge in Web Services, API integration, and data exchanges with third parties
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in-office a minimum of three days a week.
The expected salary range for this role is $152,000 - $190,000. This is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible for the Fanatics Commerce annual bonus program and an equity award. This salary range is listed in USD and will be determined in part by a successful candidate's geographic location.
