Full Description
The Country Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Red Bull beverage business in Uganda, driving both short-term results and long-term growth. This role entails developing a comprehensive 360° strategic business plan that aligns with Red Bull's global mission while being rooted in deep local market and consumer insights.

Strategic Business Management
Prepare the annual plans and the financial budgets / P&Ls in co-operation with the marketing and sales teams and the DP management team.
Ensures optimal business model and route to market together with marketing mix for the market.
Develop a strategic plan by taking the best of what Red Bull has to offer in its beverage businesses and combining it with local consumer/market insights to build and communicate the right strategic path.
Sets and keeps high standards of business ethics and business transparency.
Leads the culture of Red Bull by fostering brand principles and philosophies.
General Business Management
Visit the market regularly to check the brand’s distribution / visibility / activities, to better understand and resolve the issues, work with the team and identify value adding opportunities.
Ensure that POS items are well stored, maintained and handled, while On Premise and Off Premise standards are met.
Work closely with the Regional team, HQ and the other countries.
Marketing: collaborate closely with internal teams and 3rd party agents to develop and execute compelling ATL and BTL campaigns, as well as sports and event activities.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Lead the team to collaborate and work together as one team to achieve the country business plan while feeling empowered to be responsible for their individual functions.
Understand performance standards for all functions and drives performance of functions to meet business needs.
Focus on talent development to ensure high and sustainable talent capacity and potential in the organization.
Attracts, retains and develops a team of the right culture and professional fit and high level of engagement to deliver extraordinary results.
Establishes highest ethical standards, winning and "we-can-do" spirit in the whole organisation.
EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
- 5-7 years’ experience in a senior role with P&L responsibility
- Ideally Beverage experience or general FMCG
- Clear understanding of the local market’s sales & distribution, competitor activity and consumer behavior in an FMCG context
- A track record of successfully managing a business through a Distributor Partner with a clear understanding of how influence and command differ in this model
- Strong analytical ability and commercial acumen to understand financial statements and market trends
- Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills
- High standard of integrity with a passion for the brand and commitment to Red Bull values
- An entrepreneurial “can – do” attitude facilitated by continuous learning and application of appropriate “best practices”
- A successful experience in a similar position of leadership with strong people management skills and the ability to lead, motivate & coach teams
- A University Degree (General Business, Commerce, Marketing)
- Fluency in English (Written and Verbal) and Local Language
- Travel 40-50%
