The FA are excited to be searching for a Content Operations Manager - Planning & Analysis. This is the leading role in the creation and optimisation of planning and data frameworks, driving key projects and developing technological advances as a pivotal part of our work in supporting and delivering The FA's content strategy across England teams and FA Cups.
The successful candidate will sit at the heart of the Content team with a touchpoint across all areas of the department, driving efficiency, clarity, productivity and accountability while managing relationships with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders.
What will you be doing?
- Owner of short and long-term planning processes, frameworks and related documentation.
- The key account holder of centralised project management, workflow and data tools.
- Build and lead processes for how requests are briefed into the Content team (and supporting agencies) by the wider organisation.
- Manage and optimise processes - you'll diligently streamline team operations through the effective management and optimisation of tools, systems, processes and workflows.
- Lead on automation of processes across the team, using a variety of digital tools and systems, to promote more efficient ways of working.
- Driving how we use data and building data curiosity to inform content planning, production, distribution and analysis.
- Support content production and budget management across England and FA Cup brands.
- Creation and management of centralised dashboards to enable clear communication around project status.
- Support Senior Content Operations Manager with team development, culture, purpose and direction.
- Responsible for line management and setting of day-to-day editorial planning direction and standards, as well as ensuring milestones, commercial requirements and an EDI calendar are delivered.
- Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group's changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained.

What are we looking for?
Essential for the role:
Knowledge:
- Ability to understand and implement technology to aid efficiency, transparency and scale.
- An ambition to grow, improve and progress, with acute self-awareness of strength and development areas.
- Understanding of end-to-end content production processes.
Experience:
- Experience (relevant to the role) working in the digital space, preferably at a publisher, creative content agency or rights holder.
- Expertise in the use of data, analytics and business intelligence tools and how to tell stories and communicate the value of content.
- Large-scale calendar management across multiple brands and platforms.
Technical Skills
- Extensive experience with Excel.
- High level of numeracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate excellence in project management in a content environment.
- Proficiency with project management tools - you're well versed in using tools and software (e.g. Airtable, Asana, Trello, Monday)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create presentations and present to a wide range of key stakeholders.
Beneficial to have:
Knowledge:
- A strategic and forward-thinking individual, able to conceptualise and execute complex plans, balancing various priorities while guaranteeing complete transparency.
Experience:
- A strong working knowledge of end-to-end campaign executions and management of stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
- The ability to connect various sections of a large organisation, influence peers and engage stakeholder groups.
- Ability to use Power BI or other dashboard creation software.
- Basic production and budgeting knowledge.

Our Organisation
The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
