The FA is excited to be searching for a Content Operations Manager - Production on a one-year fixed-term contract. This person will manage our production outsourcing and support processes across internal and external resources, maximizing our capability, output, and reporting to ensure high-standard delivery across our England and FA Competitions social channels.

What will you be doing?

  • PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT: Leading management and standards of production resources and ensuring all processes, rates and contingencies are clear and consistent, working alongside supporting agencies and communicating clearly with all external providers around production via call sheets.
  • ACCREDITATION AND EVENT MANAGEMENT: Manage team accreditation requirements and be a central point for key organisations (UEFA/FIFA) and FA depts (broadcast, media operations and events) across matchdays and tournaments
  • MANAGING DOCUMENTATION: Ensure key documents are centralised, accessible and updated via Microsoft Sharepoint and relevant paperwork for rights and contracts are filed and managed alongside health and safety, permissions, and assistant supervisory guidelines for maximum clarity and accountability.
  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Work across our key brands as a central point of contact across high profile calendar events and tournaments for best way of managing resource against and ensuring clear roles and responsibility, as well as briefing and debriefing.
  • BUDGET MANAGEMENT: Management of multiple budget lines and processes, including leading regular stakeholder meetings, monitoring detailed month-by-month phased spending and developing improved processes for prompt onboarding, payments and reporting.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group's changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained.
  • As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What are we looking for?

Essential for the role:

Knowledge:

  • Experience working in sports and/or with elite sports teams.
  • Working with freelancers and external production companies.
  • Strong contacts across production, mainly producers and camera operators.

Experience:

  • Considerable experience of working in digital/online.
  • Working with multiple agencies.
  • Working with demanding and high-profile stakeholders.
  • Working with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Slack...etc)

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced experience with MS Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Elevated level of numeracy and problem-solving.
  • Attention to detail and proactivity.
  • Project Management.
  • Agency and freelancer management.
  • Expert communication and relationship-management skills.

Beneficial to have:

Knowledge:

  • Social media platforms and trends.
  • Broadcast rights and embargoes.

Experience:

  • Working on large sporting events.
  • Assisting management of a small production team.
  • Working with talent agents and agencies.
  • Handling complex production budgets.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic Health and Safety knowledge.
  • Ability to create presentations and present to a wide range of key stakeholders.
  • Ability to build dashboards utilising Power BI or similar software.

Please note, the 1st stage of interviews is scheduled to take place on either Friday 10th or Monday 13th of January on Microsoft Teams.

Our Organisation

We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
