Who we are:

The Product Content Marketing team at Fanatics spans all areas of product content creation. We’re committed to delivering the best customer experience to the fan, while maintaining high-quality product information and imagery. The PCM team is made up of highly skilled imagers, stylists, writers and data aficionados, as well as detail-driven content editors and quality control enthusiasts. We take pride in creating a fun and collaborative environment where we work and solve issues together.  Our team is for fans, by fans and we’re looking for enthusiastic, sports-loving and goal-oriented fans to join our team.

Role Overview: 

As a Content Editor, you bring our ecommerce product pages to life for fans with your sharp editing skills, engaging writing ability and all-around eye for accuracy. Your day-to-day includes generating and reviewing content for a broad range of products, including apparel, headwear, hardgoods, trading cards and memorabilia for all ages and fan bases. You not only monitor the quality of AI-generated and written content but also contribute original writing that matches our site tone and branding initiatives. You have a deep understanding of our products, and you use it to ensure sports and pop culture fans have the information they need on site. Along with packaging and uploading images, you can identify quality imaging and advise on correctness to meet in-house standards. You work closely with other teams in the department to ensure the appropriate content and imagery makes its way to our sites in a timely manner.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • reviewing all AI-generated and written content for accuracy and readability while also ensuring it matches site tone and branding.
  • creating engaging product titles, details and descriptions that match site tone and branding.
  • completing product approvals at pace.
  • coaching team members through edits.
  • identifying and resolving product issues.
  • packaging and uploading images to site.
  • shifting priorities as needed.
  • communicating with cross-functional teams to ensure all required product details are accounted for.
  • coordinating with other teams to ensure goals are met.
  • managing and tracking progress on assigned tasks through various interfaces including in-house task management tools: Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable and Service-Now.

 What You Bring to the Team:

  • have 1-3 years’ experience writing or editing.
  • hold a degree in English, Communications, Journalism or equivalent work experience.
  • have the ability to identify quality imaging.
  • have strong attention to detail.
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • have the ability to handle high work volumes and juggle several workflows.
  • have a basic understanding of a production studio.
  • have the ability to multitask.
  • are proficient with Microsoft Suite.
  • can work overtime during peak season (roughly six months out of the year).
  • can move around z-racks and lift totes of product weighing 25+ lbs.
  • have the ability to perform frequent movements such as standing, walking, repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting and kneeling.
