Full Description
Chief Digital Officer
The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. It is responsible for promoting and developing every level of the game, from grassroots through to the professional game, and generates significant revenue to support investment into English football each year.
The FA oversees England international teams across men's, women's, youth and disability football, as well as running the National League System and FA Competitions including the Emirates FA Cup, and Women's Adobe FA Cup, and the world-class facilities of Wembley Stadium and St. George's Park, all with a purpose to inspire positive change through football.
THE ROLE
The FA is now seeking to appoint a Chief Digital Officer to drive the strategy and execution of our digital transformation, working in close partnership with the existing commercial, content, and technology teams.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will bring commercial acumen, product excellence, and delivery focus setting a long-term digital vision, while executing a one-to-two-year strategic roadmap that delivers tangible impact in the short term. This includes direct accountability for growing and owning new digital revenue streams whilst also leveraging expertise and experience to enable existing revenue streams to be optimised.
• Define the long-term vision and lead the strategy for digital with a focus on unlocking non-traditional revenue streams.
• Drive the execution of this strategy, ensuring continual product iteration and evolution leading to tangible new revenue.
• Own new digital revenue and enable growth of existing digital revenue through collaboration across the business.
• Accelerate the development and commercialisation of proprietary digital products that serve both fans and grassroots participants.
• Lead and oversee the delivery of new digital products, ensuring they are executed to a high standard, on time and to budget.
• Build a talented team to realise the ambitions, already a natural collaborator and skilled at working in a matrix organisation.
