Full Description
PURPOSE:
We are shaping the future of digital commerce at adidas. As a Buyer for eCom Europe, you will own the seasonal buy for specific product categories, using strong analytical skills, deep product understanding and a consumer first mindset to deliver outstanding commercial results. This role is ideal for someone ambitious, data driven and passionate about trends.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
SEASONAL FORECASTING:
- Own the end to end buying and assortment building process for assigned categories.
- Build data driven pre-season forecasts and volume plans
- Deliver clear seasonal handovers to cross functional teams
IN SEASON MANAGEMENT:
- Monitor weekly performance and identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with Trading team to identify in season actions based on performance results.
- React quickly to insights and trends while working closely with Demand Planning on stock availability
- Support financial adjustments for both in season and future-season planning.
DIGITAL LAUNCH EXCELLENCE:
- Partner with Trading, Merchandising Operations, Digital Activation and Visual Merchandising teams on launch strategies.
- Ensure timely, accurate and impactful online launches.
- Maintain all relevant systems including M3 and PIM.
DATA AND INSIGHTS:
- Use advanced Excel capabilities to analyse performance and model scenarios.
- Translate consumer, competitive and market insights into actions.
- Identify trends and drive data backed decision making.
COLLABORATION AND WAYS OF WORKING:
- Work closely with Business Units, WHS and Retail teams to build strong product assortments that meet channel specific needs.
- Partner closely with Trading and Pricing teams on in-season initiatives and Planning team on future season plans.
- Contribute to improving eCom Buying processes.
- Bring ambition, ownership and a continuous improvement mindset.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 5+ years of experience in Buying, Merchandising, Planning or Trading skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills.
- Passion for product, consumer behaviour and trend spotting.
- Ambitious, proactive, detail oriented and committed to going the extra mile.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English
