Full Description
We’re looking for a revenue-focused Business Development Manager to drive new commercial opportunities across sports data, technology, media, and adjacent industries.
This is a high-impact sales role for someone who thrives on closing deals, hitting ambitious targets, and building meaningful partnerships. You’ll be responsible for identifying new prospects, understanding their business challenges, and matching Genius Sports’ products and services to deliver real value.
The ideal candidate is driven, creative, and tactfully aggressive (in the best sales sense). This is someone who can open doors, think commercially, and close six-figure deals. You’ll be comfortable working independently, while also collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver winning solutions. While you don’t need a technical background, you must be able to quickly understand our products at a high level and communicate their value confidently to senior decision-makers.
This role requires you to immerse yourself in the technology, media, and sports ecosystem, stay on top of market developments, and represent Genius Sports with energy and credibility at conferences, meetings, and industry events nationwide.

What You’ll Bring
- Proven success in B2B consultative sales, with a strong track record of consistently hitting or exceeding challenging revenue targets
- Experience closing six-figure (or higher) deals in a related industry such as sports, technology, software, data, or media
- Demonstrated success selling bespoke solutions or complex products, rather than off-the-shelf offerings
- A driven, high-energy, and results-oriented mindset. You’re competitive, resilient, and motivated by winning
- Strong commercial creativity and deal-making skills, with the ability to structure and close complex partnerships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including confidence engaging with and presenting to C-suite executives
- Solid numerical, analytical, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working with like-minded, sports-obsessed colleagues
- A genuine interest in sports and a desire to be part of a fast-growing, mission-driven company
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide, attend conferences and events, and meet customers face-to-face to close deals
The salary for this role is based on an annualized range of $90,000 - $110,000 USD. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
