Broadcast Support Engineer

Department: 61-155 - Broadcast - Broadcast Engineering

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: India - Hyderabad

Description
DAZN is a world-changing sports broadcaster bringing thousands of sporting events into millions of households across the world, delivering live sport direct to consumers through 100s of devices in over 200 countries.

We have a fantastic opportunity in our Technology team for a Broadcast Support Engineer.

This role will be based in our brand-new Hyderabad office, and you will work on call and in shifts. Join us in India's beautiful “City of Pearls” and bring your ambition to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of DAZN's critical broadcast systems
  • Act as an escalation point for operations teams in resolving technical faults.
  • Provide regular maintenance of broadcast playout and related production equipment.
  • Follow best practice and procedure on internal and external ITSM systems.
  • Attending meetings with team leaders and senior engineers to improve process and instructional guidance documentation.
  • Communication and escalation with vendors.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Knowledge of broadcast technology including playout, IP networking, contribution, and video and audio encoding
  • Experience with technical fault finding and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or similar
  • Experience using monitoring tools such as Dataminer, Grafana or similar.
  • Experience working on 24/7 shift patterns.
  • Knowledge of Cloud and Virtualization technologies
  • Awareness of current OTT encoding technologies.
