Job Description

• Responsible for the AML framework of our Brazilian business.
• Conduct and maintain an AML/CFT business risk assessment and oversee the development of appropriate risk-based controls.
• Develop policies, processes and procedures in line with AML legislation to ensure Entain's Brazilian business complies with local money laundering regulations.
• Make final decision on all instances of external reporting of Suspicious Activity, approval of PEPs and continuance of the business relationship with higher risk customers.
• Provide AML Subject Matter Expertise to advise the wider Brazil business, liaising with various internal stakeholders including commercial, AFC operations, risk, product and regulatory compliance teams.  
• Identify any audit requirements (request these if necessary) and oversee any internal/external audits and the closure of any findings.
• Standardize reporting requirements – both statistics (SARs, AML closures etc.) and overall trends and issues for the Brazilian business.
• Stay current with money laundering and terrorist financing behaviours, issues, policies, regulations, criminal typologies, industry best practices, and developing trends in all our international jurisdictions.
• Represent the company at conferences, trade bodies and with the gambling regulator.
• Oversee the development and delivery of a training program for our Brazilian business.

Qualifications

• At least three years previous experience as an MLRO in a regulated market, preferably within Brazil.
• Strong knowledge of Brazil AML law and regulations.
• Extensive AML subject matter expertise and knowledge of best practices.
• Experience of designing and implementing an AML/CFT framework, including conducting Business Risk Assessments, developing appropriate controls and embedding into policy.
• Experience of designing and delivering an AML/CFT training programme.
• Knowledge of the Gambling industry would be desirable.
• Ability to organize and analyse complex data sets.
• Experience of dealing with COAF and other regulatory authorities.
• Experience of reporting SARs.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Successful candidate must be detail-oriented and highly confidential
• AML qualification
• Microsoft office, excel, analytical skills
• Good people management skills
• Knowledge of AML tools and systems
• Fluent Portuguese and English speaker with excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to travel periodically
