THE ROLE: 

As a Bookings Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the acquisition and distribution of live broadcast signals for DAZN Portugal’s events. You’ll choose the most suitable and efficient transmission method for each booking and ensure smooth delivery to multiple products and platforms simultaneously — always maintaining the highest signal quality.

You’ll develop a deep understanding of DAZN’s local and global broadcast infrastructure, learning how signals are received, routed, and distributed across production centres. You’ll also gain valuable experience with resource planning systems, capacity management, and cost control within a fast-paced live sports environment.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed to support live transmissions.

This role will be based in Lisbon, Portugal.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Act as the main point of contact for DAZN Portugal’s Bookings team, liaising with internal departments and external partners to communicate programming information.
• Schedule live events in the resource planning system, ensuring correct TX timings and technical resource allocation.
• Plan and coordinate weekly with stakeholders across Portugal (signal circuits, fibre connections, transmission paths) to secure all necessary information for live delivery.
• Manage schedule changes proactively, ensuring updates are communicated and executed efficiently.
• Identify and confirm production and transmission requirements, booking and coordinating all required resources for live communications.
• Collaborate daily with the wider operations team to manage workload and meet broadcast deadlines.
• Produce clear documentation outlining end-to-end workflows and processes.
• Provide live support during broadcast events, assisting the transmission team where required.
• Maintain strong communication with the Live Transmission and Production Operations teams to ensure delivery consistency.
• Track and report on facilities and resource usage within Portugal, preparing monthly reports.

What You'll Bring:

• Solid understanding of broadcast transmission booking processes and signal delivery workflows.
• Experience working in a live production or broadcast operations environment, managing deadlines and high-pressure situations.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and precision in documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
• Knowledge of digital and professional editing/broadcast technologies and scheduling tools such as WhatsOn.
• Experience using ScheduALL or similar scheduling software.
• Familiarity with video delivery methods — IP, satellite, fibre — and protocols such as SRT, RTMP, etc.
• Awareness of automation and orchestration processes within broadcast environments.
• Understanding of external streaming platforms (e.g. YouTube, Easy Live, Twitch) and emerging FAST channel technologies.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
