Fanatics Italy is hiring a Back-End Software Developer for our Commerce business in Italy. Currently, Fanatics Italy is the official licensee and/or the retail partner of several sports clubs including top Italian football (AC Milan, Inter Milan, Atalanta, Fiorentina, Lazio, Bologna, FIGC) and basketball teams (Olimpia Milano) and organization (NBA); it also manage the football specialized retailer The Pitch – Football Store.

Role Purpose:
We are looking for a highly skilled Back-End Developer with experience in using Laravel and LAMP stack to join our Italian development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of scalable, high-performance web applications.

They will report to the Senior Software Developer and will contribute to ensure correct functionality of Fanatics Italy ecommerce platform for all partners, The Pitch and third parties, including bug fixing & planning new developments.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and implement backend functionality for our web applications using Laravel and LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Collaborate with the frontend development team to integrate the user interface with the backend
• Optimize application performance to ensure fast response times and scalability
• Create and maintain accurate technical documentation
• Actively participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement of our applications

Skills Required:
• Proven experience in web application development using Laravel.
• Thorough knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Apache and Linux.
• Expertise in the use of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Ability to write clean, efficient and well-documented code.
• Experience in E-commerce business/sport context is a plus
• A football fan with a understanding of the commercial landscape, including knowledge on the sport merchandise market is a plus
• English and Italian fluency are a must
• Proactive attitude and work ethics
