The Role
Fanatics Corporate Audit and Risk Management is positioned as a collaborative risk partner to provide independent assurance and proactive advisory engagements. Each of these efforts is designed to provide unique risks insights and recommendations for improving the organization’s control environment in support of Fanatics strategic plan.
The Audit Manager– Operations is responsible for executing audits with a primary focus on the effective management of risks within operations (processes associated with make, move, consumer, and marketplace capabilities etc.). The Audit Manager will also work with audit leadership to establish and maintain strong professional relationships across Operations to fully understand the organizational risk profile and help business partners balance their business strategy with appropriate risk management controls. Leading the operations audit plan will require oversight and execution of the evaluate, test, and report the results phases of each audit to provide insights that improve the internal control environment and drive value to the business.
What You'll Do:
- Participate in the development and execution of audit projects from all phases, planning to reporting in collaboration with co-source partners to execute audit projects according to Corporate Audit handbook and IIA professional standards.
- Identify risks, assess internal controls, and provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
- Establish high quality relationships with Operations leaders to understand key risks and provide risk insights as a result of completed assurance and advisory engagements.
- Prepare important stakeholder communications such as audit reports and other presentations for review and approval by Audit Leadership.
- Assist with the completion of annual risk assessments to drive the audit plans.
- Directly manage and develop another audit member to create a strong culture of teaming and cross-functional experiences.
- Track and validate issues identified in the operations space and monitor until remediation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, supply chain, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience in audit, logistics, manufacturing, and/or consumer marketplace environments (typically a minimum of 5 years).
- Internal Audit certification such as CIA or CPA or willing to complete the certification within the first 2 years of employment is required.
- Possesses a strong foundation in processes associated with make, move, consumer, and marketplace capabilities. Has a natural sustained interest in these business capabilities.
- Ability to assimilate information quickly and identify risk for further analysis; proactive in communicating new/emerging risks
- Possesses excellent multitasking and project management skills to execute multiple priorities to a timely and quality completion. This includes strong understanding of communication needs throughout an audit engagement.
- Requires excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner and is candid and forthright in communicating issues, concerns, and audit activities to all levels of management
- Proficiency in audit management software, data analytics tools, and AI use cases is a plus.
- Ability to facilitate sensitive investigations with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
The salary range for this position is $107,000 to $180,900, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
