The starting hourly rate for this position is $19.71/hour.

Associate Material Handler

Job Summary

The Associate Material Handler supports daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role requires accuracy, urgency, and consistency in a fast-paced distribution environment. The Associate is expected to execute tasks independently, maintain organization, and contribute to overall team productivity and service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pull, pack, and ship orders accurately using warehouse management systems

  • Prioritize and complete orders based on business needs, including same-day and expedited requests

  • Receive and process inbound shipments; verify product against purchase orders and documentation

  • Accurately move and update inventory within the system

  • Identify and escalate inventory discrepancies, damages, or issues

  • Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy efforts

  • Stage outbound shipments and prepare orders for carrier pickup

  • Complete closeouts and bulk order processing within expected timelines

  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas at all times

  • Use manual equipment such as pallet jacks and carts as needed

  • Follow all safety procedures and report hazards, incidents, or near misses

  • Communicate clearly with team members and leadership using Slack and other communication tools

  • Remain flexible and support multiple functions including pull, pack, receive, and RTS based on business needs

  • Take initiative to stay productive and support team operations during downtime

  • Support basic reporting, tracking, and documentation using Excel and Word as needed

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience preferred

  • Experience with warehouse management systems preferred

  • Experience using SkuNexus or similar order/inventory management systems is a plus

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for tracking and reporting

  • Familiarity with Slack or similar communication platforms preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and bending

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven warehouse environment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Basic communication and teamwork skills

  • Schedule flexibility based on business needs preferred
