Full Description

The Supervisor Creative Art is essential to the timely execution of high-quality art requests to support business objectives. Reporting directly to the Manager Art, the Supervisor will direct routine and advanced assignments related to all aspects of creative art queues, large order/event coordination, researching credits, monitoring FMS worklists, overseeing purchasing requests, reviewing large dollar value orders, and ensuring deadlines are met. This position requires the skill to organize, train and offer direction to many areas including creative design, production file set ups, developing templates, and ensuring product rollouts are released with completed creative designs and packaging.

The Supervisor must take responsibility for the safety, quality, and timely execution of art operations according to direction received from Leadership. Will be responsible for day-to-day oversight and support of assigned art athletes to leverage each athlete to their maximum skillset, while meeting business needs. Will work collaboratively with other Supervisors to accomplish complex projects, address athlete corrective and commendations actions, and effectively carry out priorities established by Planning and Site Leadership.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the selection, training, time-keeping, coaching and career development of art athletes.
  • With guidance from HR, EHS, and Site Leadership, assists in the investigation and follow up for all personnel issues, safety violations and/or accidents.
  • Responsible for effective and timely internal communications with fellow Supervisors, Site Leadership, Sales, and other departments to achieve company goals as directed.
  • Monitor incoming CAR requests.
  • Assign work to creative art athletes.
  • Review creative art designs.
  • Monitor FMS worklists.
  • Monitor purchasing requests.
  • Review large dollar value orders.
  • Work closely with teammates to define priorities to meet key deadlines and milestones.
  • When required, knowledge of how to properly research credits, determining best steps to insure customer satisfaction.
  • Must be focused on following processes and procedures with art development to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend means of improvement for processes, visibility of projects and workload management within the department.
  • Other responsibilities may include assisting management with projects as defined and determined upon need.
  • Performs general housekeeping and department six sigma activities.
  • Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements.
  • Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL & Experience REQUIREMENTS:

  • An Associate's degree in Art or similar field of study.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Digital Art.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of digital art set up and how to work with art development software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast-paced environment.
  • Timely follow-up with both internal and external communication.
  • Capable of working in both an independent and collaborative work environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Strong ability to interact with Management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to maintain focus for extended periods of time
  • Ability to utilize a computer continuously
  • Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift.
  • Able to discern a full color spectrum.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office environment - ON-SITE FULL TIME

The salary range for this position is $50,000-$65,000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
