Reporting organisationally to the Arrivals & Departures Senior manager, the AND TROC (Transport Operations Center) Supervisor will be a key member of the FIFA26 Operational Services team, and work in close collaboration with the FIFA Transport, and other key individuals responsible for delivering The Arrivals & Departures Transport Operations Center Supervisor oversees the real-time coordination, monitoring, and communication of all airport transport operations during the tournament. This role ensures accurate tracking of arrivals and departures, efficient dispatching of vehicles, meet-and-greet services, and seamless collaboration between airport teams, transport providers, and functional areas to deliver a safe, timely, and high-quality service for all FIFA client groups.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Arrivals & Departures Transport Operations Center Supervisor for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Oversee real-time coordination and monitoring of all airport transport operations to ensure on-time arrivals and departures for all FIFA client groups.
- Supervise the dispatching and allocation of vehicles, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to service schedules.
- Maintain constant communication with airport teams, drivers, and transport providers to manage passenger flow and respond promptly to operational updates or changes.
- Coordinate meet-and-greet services to ensure a smooth, professional, and welcoming experience for all arriving and departing clients.
- Track flight movements, service requests, and vehicle activity using transport management systems and monitoring tools.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve operational issues or delays in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of FIFA service standards and DSLAs, ensuring all transport operations meet defined quality and timing expectations.
- Liaise with airport authorities, security services, and functional area leads to maintain safety, compliance, and smooth coordination across operations.
- Provide clear and timely updates to the Transport Operations Center Manager and airport management regarding ongoing activities, incidents, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and submit daily operational reports and incident logs, ensuring data accuracy and accountability.
- Assist in the training, briefing, and supervision of TOC staff and volunteers to ensure operational readiness and consistent service delivery.
- Contribute to test events, rehearsals, and operational readiness exercises to validate systems, procedures, and communication channels ahead of the tournament.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, Aviation Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of transport operations, airport procedures, and client service protocols; certification in operations or project management is an asset.
- Strong proficiency with transport management systems (TMS), flight-tracking platforms, and digital monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to analyze data, interpret operational metrics, and prepare accurate reports.
- High level of problem-solving capability, situational awareness, and decision-making, especially in time-sensitive scenarios.
- Ability to work shifts, extended hours, and tournament-time schedules as required.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an advantage in a global event environment.
Work Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in transport operations, airport operations, event logistics, or similar large-scale, time-critical operational environments.
- Previous experience supervising teams within a transport control center, airport operations center, command center, or equivalent real-time monitoring environment.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating with airport authorities, security teams, transport providers, or other operational stakeholders.
- Proven track record managing vehicle dispatching, client movement, or high-volume passenger operations.
- Hands-on experience preparing operational reports, incident logs, and performance tracking dashboards.
- Experience supporting large international events, sporting events, or multi-venue operations is a strong advantage.
Languages
- Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
