WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As a member of the Future Capabilities Additive Team, you will collaborate with key partners onshore and offshore, including teams in Product Development, Testing, Material Design, Product Design, Value Engineering, and our partners in Global Football. You will navigate the NIKE NXT matrix to align processes with functional standards set from 15 years of driving product excellence in performance materials and technologies and postprocessing.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking an individual that has prior experience in the additive manufacturing space looking to grow their skill set into the functional prototyping space, this person would ideally have experience utilizing SLS, DLP, FFF and Postprocessing of said technologies. An understanding of the importance of the cleaning process and how this impacts the end performance of the components being produced for or valued customers in Innovation.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, a quick learner, a strong communicator, a great teammate, and possess solid technical skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
A minimum of 2 years’ directly relevant work experience
Experience in build setup software and importance of part orientation for performance
Understanding of good clean print ready files and able to repair files using Materialize magics for the builds
Proficient communication with internal and external partners
Think outside the box, leveraging consumer insights and testing data
Read technical drawings and 3D files to solve problems
Understand virtual prototyping, CAD, 3D printing, and manufacturing processes
Experience utilizing Farsoon/EOS/Integra SLS machines and 3DSystems F4 platforms a huge plus
Knowledge of materials, test methods, and interpreting data from testing to improve process
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
This role focuses on product creation from initial brief to end use prototype and even consumer products, ensuring excellence in Craft, Fit, Comfort, Performance, Quality, Sustainability, Cost/Value, and Innovation
Responsibilities:
Provide early recommendations and technical expertise, in the additive lab focusing on printing techniques, materials, postprocesses, sustainability solutions.
State of the art modern SLS technologies.
Share expertise with junior team members on footwear construction, manufacturing, chemical, and lab testing procedures.
Offer multi-solution approaches and creative problem-solving for product excellence.
Develop and enhance engineering best practices to improve quality craftsmanship, performance, and efficiency in the lab Space
