Full Description
Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Accountant to join our finance team in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our sales operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing valuable financial insights to support our business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing:
- Issuing invoices
- Managing customer accounts
- Updating records of payments
- Filing taxes
- Reconciling accounts
Sales Revenue Management:
- Monitor and record all sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Reconcile sales accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Manage and maintain accounts receivable, including invoicing customers and following up on outstanding payments
Customer Account Management:
- Maintain detailed records of customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and up to date
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account discrepancies
- Provide support in managing credit control processes, including credit assessments and limits
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline sales accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new accounting procedures and systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team to understand business needs and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure smooth sales operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as Billing/Sales Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, D365) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
- Knowledge of the trading card industry is a plus.
