Fanatics Italy is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Accountant to manage the company's outgoing financial obligations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, verifying financial data, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.

Role & Responsibility:

  • Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, approval, and payment.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing account reconciliations and reports.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and manage payment schedules.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and withholding taxes.
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function.

Technical Knowledge/Experience Desired

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2-4 years) in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle Netsuit) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication in English and in Italian and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance standards is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Retail or Ecommerce business
