Founded in 1973, the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) is the national sports body for disability sports - promoting, coordinating and developing sporting opportunities for persons with disabilities across all impairment groups, from community participation to elite performance. Over five decades, the Council has identified and developed elite para-athletes like Yip Pin Xiu, Singapore's Paralympic multi-medallist in swimming, and Jeralyn Tan, Singapore's first Paralympic medallist in boccia. Beyond athlete development, SDSC has served as an incubator for national disability sports initiatives and support schemes. The Council continues to build the infrastructure, partnerships and programmes needed to give every person with a disability a meaningful pathway through sport. Learn more at www.sdsc.org.sg.
