Commonwealth Sport is the organisation responsible for the direction governance and sustainability of the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games. Through these marquee events and a network of Development Programmes, Commonwealth Sport is committed to its Vision of Our Commonwealth United through Sport.

This is sport where the world wins. A Movement consisting of 74 nations and territories, choosing to transform a shared history in to a more positive future, providing an accessible stage and powerful platform to celebrate success and transform inspiration into impact, until everyone’s included, our communities are stronger, and our Commonwealth is united.
Our Movement includes some of the world’s largest and smallest nations, from India with over 1.2 billion people to Niue, with a population of just 1,600. Regardless of size, each of our members is dedicated to creating a world where sport is available to everyone. We focus on those who have been traditionally ignored, left out or sidelined, due to Disability, Gender, Age & Background or Culture and Ethnicity.
Our quadrennial events – the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games – are our window to the world; elite-level multi-sport events watched by millions across the globe.
They create the platform to showcase the strength and diversity of our Movement and the work of our development programmes and the communities of the Commonwealth. We continue to focus on our origins as a progressive leader in sport and social development, demonstrating the power of sport to unlock our human potential and transform lives.
